Starting the judging period

Once your submission period is over, you will need to complete the below to start the judging period:

Mark all of your submissions as Judge or Don’t Judge

Be sure to review all of your submissions and select which submissions should move on to the Judges. To do this, you will need to mark each submission as Judge or Don’t Judge. See the Managing Submissions article for details.

Turn your Project Gallery on

Once you’ve reviewed and marked all your submissions, you are ready to turn on the Project Gallery.

To do this, toggle the Gallery button from OFF > ON. This will make all the submissions that you selected as Gallery under Visibility visible to the public. See the Managing Submissions article for details.

Please note: Turning on the Gallery will send an email to inform all participants that the Gallery is open. We highly recommend that you only turn the gallery on once. If you turn the gallery off and then on again, participants will receive a duplicate email.

Start the judging period

Once the above items are taken care of, it’s time to start judging. For online judging, you will need to start the judging period manually on the Dashboard by clicking the Start Judging button under the Judging/Voting tab.

This will trigger the following email to be sent to your judges:

Please note that the only way that judges can start judging is to click on the link provided in this email. Each judge will receive a unique link that will work only for that judge. See the How to judge an online hackathon article for details.
