Assigning Table Numbers
For in-person hackathons, there may be a need to assign table numbers to submissions. The Devpost platform can help you do this.
After your submission due date has passed and you have managed your submissions, in your Submissions section under the Manage Hackathon area of your manager dashboard you will be able to see the option Assign table numbers.
Clicking the Assign table numbers button will assign a random number to each of the submissions.
For example: if you have 50 submissions, each one will have a random number between 1 and 50 assigned to it.
Changing table numbers
If you need to change a submission’s table number, find the submission and replace the Table number with the desired one. If you assign a table number that’s already in use, the system will swap the numbers between the two submissions.
When you make a change, you will be prompted to Save table numbers. It is important to note that no changes will come into effect until they are saved.
What can you do once table numbers have been auto-assigned?
When you are happy with the table numbers assigned, toggle on the Table numbers page. This creates a Tables tab on your hackathon site which will display the table numbers for each submission for your hackers, sponsors (who can filter to see teams submitting for their prize), and judges. It’s designed to look great on desktop, mobile, and printed.
Submissions that come in after enabling table numbers
Any submissions that come in after table numbers are enabled will be assigned the next available number. For example: if you have 50 submissions, the next one will be assigned 51.
