Update your profile and username

Be sure to keep your profile up to date. This allows you to receive targeted information related to your profile and interests.

To update your profile information:

Your public profile shows the projects in your portfolio, projects you've submitted to hackathons, and personal information that you may have entered upon sign-up, such as your photo, location, bio, Twitter handle, website, skills, etc.

  1. Log in to your Devpost account.
  2. Click your username at the top right corner of the page.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Settings.
  4. Select Profile to edit your photo, name, location, bio, Twitter handle, or website. Click Save Changes after you’ve updated your information.

To update your preferences & eligibility:

Your preferences and eligibility help the Devpost team match you with hackathons that you may choose to participate in. Select Preferences & Eligibility and within Preferences, you'll be prompted to choose your specialty, add your skills, and indicate what types of hackathons you're interested in.

Please note: if you would like to receive targeted emails associated with the types of hackathons you're interested in, you'll need to also update your Email notifications and choose to be notified of new online hackathons based on your interests.

Hackathons on Devpost may also have certain eligibility requirements. To update your eligibility, scroll down to Eligibility and enter your location, select your occupation (if you are a student, you'll be required to indicate your school and graduation date), and input your birth month and year — doing so will also allow you to match your eligibility when filtering for hackathons on the Hackathons page.
