What does “Managed by Devpost” mean?

As part of our relationship with customers, Devpost is often asked to manage a hackathon. We display this information publicly on hackathons as a way to both practice transparency with our community of developers and drive increased engagement for our customers. But what does it actually mean for Devpost to “manage” a hackathon?

Simply put — the Devpost team has a significant role in running the hackathon.

The project management tasks that Devpost carries out differ from hackathon to hackathon. However, they range from helping in the conceptualization and planning process to completing the day-to-day operations of the project.

As potential or current hackathon organizers, you may be asking, “Why should Devpost manage my hackathon?”

Our experienced team of project managers will:

  • Consult directly with you and apply best practices to ensure that your competition is a success.
  • Boost the visibility of your hackathon on the hackathon’s listing page.
  • Provide hands-on support to both you and your participants in order to create an engaging hackathon experience (a factor that is difficult to maintain in a virtual hackathon setting).
  • Supplement your team’s capacity with our world-leading strategic knowledge and operational skills related to driving developer awareness, adoption, and activation.

If you are planning a hackathon or considering doing so and would like to learn more about these services, please fill out this form and a member of our sales team will contact you.

(Please note that, in most circumstances, we cannot offer project management services to hackathons currently underway.)
