How to Report Spam on Devpost
Spam policy
Devpost is a place to showcase software, participate in hackathons, and share your related questions, ideas, feedback, and encouragement. Do not use our site to upload or post content that's not relevant, repeatedly post the same thing, or send excessive, unsolicited messages to other users. Do not use the follow or like features in a manner that triggers excessive notifications or places a burden on our systems.
As you’re using the site, if you come across any content that does not meet our community guidelines and is considered spam, please notify support@devpost.com or follow the below steps.
Spam on Devpost can be in the form of:
Please report spam as you see it by flagging content. When you flag content on the site, the flag gets sent immediately to our Support Team, who can review and remove the content.
How you can flag spam
Spam Comments, Discussions, and Updates
If you see a comment that looks suspicious, simply hover over the comment until you see the flag icon to the right, and click it.
Spam Projects
Sometimes entire projects are really an advertisement, promotion, or just straight up spam. If you scroll down on the right side, you’ll see a flag that says “Report inappropriate content.” Click this and fill in the reason.

Spam Hackathons
If you see a hackathon that only serves as an advertisement, not a related Devpost competition, please send an email to support@devpost.com with the link to the hackathon. We will investigate and take the appropriate action.
Spam Users
If you notice a suspicious user, please send an email to support@devpost.com with the username. We will investigate and take the appropriate action.
