Voting for a submission

To vote, you must sign up for a Devpost account. If you don’t have an account, sign up for one before voting.

1. If you haven’t already, log in to your Devpost account.
2. Navigate to the URL of the hackathon you want to vote in.
3. Select the tab labeled "Submission Gallery."
4. Select the submissions you want to vote for. This will bring you to the submission page.
5. Click the “Vote” button on the right side.
   

After your vote has been counted, the button will change from "Vote for this submission" to "Thanks for voting!"

Do I need a Devpost account in order to vote?

Yes, you do need a Devpost account in order to vote. If you don't already have one, sign up for an account here.

How many times can I vote?

You can vote for as many submissions as you'd like, but only once per submission (i.e. you can't vote multiple times for the same submission).

How do I know if my vote was counted?

After your vote has been counted, the button text will change from "Vote for this submission" to "Thanks for voting!"

Why can’t I vote for a submission?

If you can't vote on a submission, it's possible that you've already voted for that particular entry. You can vote for as many submissions as you'd like, but only once per submission (i.e. you can't vote multiple times for the same submission).

If you didn't already vote for the submission and are still having problems, please contact us.

Can I see how many votes a submission has received?

No, vote counts are not shown to the public.

Do Devpost links, Facebook likes, and Tweets count as votes?

No, Devpost likes, Facebook likes and Tweets do not count as votes. However, they can help raise awareness and potentially garner more support for a submission. So share away!

Reporting fraudulent votes

We take voting integrity very seriously and check votes using a variety of both manual and automated processes.

If you suspect fraudulent activity, please contact us and be sure to include a link to the submission in question.
